Rueben Loaf 3 ¼ cups all-purpose flour 1 Tablespoon sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1 package yeast 1 cup hot water 1 Tablespoon margarine Set aside 1-cup flour. In a large bowl, mix remaining flour, salt, sugar and yeast. Stir in hot water and margarine. Mix in enough flour to make a soft dough. On a floured surface kneed 4 minutes. On a greased baking sheet roll dough to 14 x 10 size. Or substitute 1 loaf frozen bread dough for the first six ingredients. Spray frozen loaf with vegetable oil, cover (not with plastic wrap) and set aside on greased pan till thawed. ¼ cup Thousand Island Salad Dressing 6 oz. Corned beef ¼ pound Swiss cheese* 8-oz sauerkraut well drained 1 egg white- beaten Caraway seeds-optional Spread dressing down the center, approximately two inches wide. Top with layers of beef, kraut and cheese. Cut one inch wide strips of dough. Lay the dough strips over meat in a criss-cross pattern. Brush with egg white and caraway seeds. Bake 400o F for 25 minutes. * Use about 3 ½ slices of cheese per layer and end with cheese directly below the dough strips. Contributed by, Shelley Bengtson
